1. Acceptance of Terms

By inviting FurryDB ("the Bot") to your Discord server or using any of its features, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Bot.

2. Description of Service

FurryDB is a Discord bot that provides ban tracking and sharing functionality across multiple Discord servers. The Bot:

• Records ban events from whitelisted servers
• Allows users to query ban history across participating servers
• Provides automated moderation features (auto-ban, auto-log)
• Maintains a shared database of user ban information

3. Eligibility and Server Requirements

To use FurryDB, you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction)
• Have the necessary permissions to invite bots to your Discord server
• Comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines
• Use the Bot only for lawful purposes within furry community servers

4. Whitelist System

4.1 Contributing Servers

Only whitelisted servers can contribute ban records to the shared database. To become whitelisted:

• Server administrators must apply through our Discord server
• Applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis
• We reserve the right to approve or deny any whitelist application
• Whitelist status may be revoked at any time for violations of these Terms

4.2 Non-Whitelisted Servers

Non-whitelisted servers can:

• View ban history using /userinfo
• Configure auto-ban and auto-log features
• Apply for whitelist access

However, bans from non-whitelisted servers will NOT be recorded in the shared database.

5. Data Collection and Usage

5.1 Information We Collect

When a ban occurs in a whitelisted server, we collect:

• User ID and username of the banned user
• Server ID and server name where the ban occurred
• Ban reason (if provided)
• Timestamp of the ban
• Moderator who performed the ban (from audit logs)

5.2 How We Use Information

The information collected is used to:

• Provide ban history lookups across participating servers
• Enable automated moderation features (auto-ban, auto-log)
• Generate aggregated statistics
• Improve the Bot's functionality and features

5.3 Data Sharing

Ban information is shared with:

• Server administrators who use the /userinfo command
• Servers that have auto-log enabled (when users with ban history join)
• Public statistics (in aggregated, non-identifiable form)

6. User Responsibilities

6.1 Server Administrators

Server administrators using FurryDB must:

• Inform server members that ban data may be shared with other participating servers
• Ensure ban reasons are factual, appropriate, and comply with Discord's Terms of Service
• Use the Bot's features responsibly and in accordance with these Terms
• Not abuse the Bot to harass, defame, or falsely accuse users
• Maintain the security of their server and Bot configuration

6.2 Prohibited Uses

You may NOT use FurryDB to:

• Submit false, misleading, or malicious ban reports
• Harass, stalk, or intimidate other users
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent the whitelist system
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the Bot's source code
• Use the Bot for commercial purposes without explicit permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the Bot's operation

7. Ban Record Management

7.1 Accuracy of Information

We strive to maintain accurate ban records, but:

• Ban information is provided by server administrators and moderators
• We do not independently verify the accuracy of ban reasons
• Historical ban data may be incomplete or contain errors

7.2 Record Removal

Server administrators can remove ban records from their own server using the /removeban command. To request removal of ban records from other servers, users must contact those server administrators directly.

8. Automated Features

8.1 Auto-Ban

The auto-ban feature automatically bans users based on their ban history. Server administrators are responsible for:

• Setting appropriate ban thresholds
• Monitoring auto-ban activity
• Handling appeals from affected users

8.2 Auto-Log

The auto-log feature displays user ban history when they join. Server administrators must ensure they have appropriate permissions and channels configured.

9. Intellectual Property

FurryDB and all related content, features, and functionality are owned by the Bot operator and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

10. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

10.1 Service Availability

FurryDB is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Complete accuracy of ban records
• Compatibility with all Discord servers
• Continuous availability of the service

10.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of data, profits, revenue, or goodwill
• Service interruptions or data breaches
• Actions taken by server administrators based on bot information
• Damages arising from reliance on ban history information

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FurryDB, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your violation of these Terms
• Your misuse of the Bot
• Your violation of any rights of third parties
• Ban records submitted from your server

12. Privacy

Your use of FurryDB is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

13. Termination

13.1 By You

You may stop using FurryDB at any time by removing the Bot from your server.

13.2 By Us

We reserve the right to:

• Terminate or suspend access to the Bot without notice
• Remove servers from the whitelist for violations of these Terms
• Discontinue the Bot service entirely
• Delete or modify ban records if necessary to comply with laws or policies

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting the updated Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Bot after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.

16. Discord Terms

FurryDB is a third-party service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord Inc. Use of this Bot is subject to Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and FurryDB regarding the use of the Bot.
